Morning at camp. Fajada Butte, Home of the Sun Dagger

Taking the loop up South Mesa from Casa Rinconada

A look towards Chetro Ketl, North Mesa and New Alto on the horizon

The great Kiva at Casa Rinconada

Crawled up through the crack on our way up to Tsin Kletsin

Looking down into great Kiva at Casa Rinconada

Making out way to the top of South Mesa

Little bumps of Tsin Kletsin

Getting Closer. Tim already there

McElmo style of masonry

A small 70 room Great House. Tsin Kletsin is located on the north-south axis that connects it to Pueblo Bonito in the canyon and Pueblo Alto on North Mesa.

A closer look at the stone work

Scrub grass and cactus but 360º views

South gap, with a view of the Chuska Mountains where the Chacoans sourced many of the ponderosa pines used in construction

Working our way down to the canyon floor

After walking down the cutout stairway built by 19th century Navajo sheepherders we see colorful rocks on the canyon floor

The contrast of colors in nature

Finally getting back after a four hour hike to Casa Rinconada and the truck.
